Student Reports for School Administrators

Client: Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Learning Technology

Role: UX Designer

Context: Existing application only allowed teachers to view reports by classes taught. Admins could only view teacher reports, but not reports by multiple schools within a district.

Goal: Add functionality to allow School Administrators to view school reports for individual school, grade, teacher, or class.

I worked closely with the product owner of reports to determine how new functionality would be added to existing teacher reports to include the admin view of reports by multiple schools. A new dropdown menu filter was added to view report by all schools or an individual school. Default report is for All Schools. Admin can then select individual school.

Once the admin selects an individual school, the option to filter report by teacher and class appears.

Admin can then select individual class to view report and see detail of domain performance by school as well as student, class, school, and district averages. New icons were chosen to represent school and district averages.
